May 27 - July 25, 2009
Opening reception Wednesday May 27 at 6 pm
Fabian Seiz lives and works in Vienna. He mainly produces sculptures, videos, paintings and drawings. Seiz questions the fragility and possibility of materials, it's interaction with space and plays with the viewers sense of perception. Recent exhibitions include solo shows at Layr Wuestenhagen Contemporary (Vienna, A), Wilkinson (London, UK), Austrian Cultural Forum, cur. Jiri Sevcik (Prague, CZ), Hamish Morrison Galerie (Berlin, D) as well as group shows at the Musée d'Art Moderne de Saint-Étienne (St. Étienne, F), OK Centrum (Linz, A) and Villa Manin (Udine, I).
Olivier Soulerin lives and works in Montigny-lès-Cormeilles. His installations, sculptures and paintings tend to develop out of existing exhibition structures or devices of display. This sense of site specificity is however more borne out of a desire for the expansion of formal possibilities rather than the contraction of institutional critique. He is currently included in Sculpteurs de trottoir. Autour de Raymond Hains 2, a group exhibition at Le Quartier in Quimper; and he recently had a solo exhibition entitled Le blanc n'existe pas at the Musée Matisse in le Cateau-Cambrésis. He will be included in an upcoming two-person exhibition at Interface in Dijon.
